I moved to Alaska when I was 2, and was raised in Anchorage. I moved out to Eagle River when I started high school. My junior year, I was involved in a bad car accident. My car wrapped around a tree and I spent the next week in a coma. I then, by the grace of God, finished high school.
I then, moved to Montana to care for my grandparents where I found a beauty school starting class the next day. After graduating and receiving my license, I came home. I ran the beauty salon in a senior center. My mom did nails and I did hair there for 10yrs.
Now doing hair is my therapy. I offer a variety of haircuts, coloring, styles, braids, waxing and more. I specialize in permanent waves and working with children and little ones with past traumas.

Always a great cut

Always friendly and does a great job.

Jaylene is the only person that cuts my hair

I won't get a haircut when I'm on vacation or a business trip. Jaylene is worth the wait. She's a true artist, friendly and fun to chat with. And she remembered my name on the second visit! Her salon is in a convenient location and has a great atmosphere that's quiet and clean. The app makes it really easy to schedule an appointment and eliminates waiting.

Magic!

Jaylene always does a great job with my hair which is very fine, normally straight and, for me, quite unmanageable. After my weekly 30-minute appointment, I come out with a beautiful head of curls. I'm always amazed she can do a wash and style that quickly where it always took other stylists at least an hour.

We love Jaylene

We've been taking our 3-year-old to Jaylene for the past year, and it has been a game changer. At previous salons, he struggled to warm up to stylists, making haircuts a traumatic experience. However, Jaylene’s warmth and patience have made all the difference. She does an outstanding job, and he always walks out with the best haircut. Today, we brought our 10-month-old for his first haircut, and Jaylene was incredibly gentle with him. He came out with a perfect cut, and we couldn't be happier! We are so grateful to have found Jaylene. Highly recommend her to anyone with little ones!

Great Style from a Great Stylist

Even after a week, my hair STILL looks good! My hair has plenty of volume, just the way I like.

Amazing experience

Jaylene is a great barber. She does an amazing job cutting my hair and she is very consistent. Anytime I go in I know I’ll be getting the same haircut every time. You only see that in really great barbers. Along with great skills and consistency she also has amazing customer service. She is very willing to make room in her schedule if you’re in a jam and can’t make a regular appointment. She’s always happy to see me. An absolutely amazing barber that I would recommend to anyone any day of the year.

Best hair cut experience for little ones

We’ve had such a great experience with Jaylene over the years. We’ve been taking our now almost 3-year-old to her for haircuts for a while and she does so well with him. She’s playful and makes him feel comfortable in the chair. She’s also quick with the haircuts - which is good for our toddler who doesn’t like to sit still. Probably because she has a little one of her own so she understands. :) I’ve recommended her to friends with kids who now also see her too. I rarely leave reviews but I’m so impressed by Jaylene and grateful to her for being so great with our boy.

Because my son has such coarse hair it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t make him look like a chopped up mess! We’ve been searching for a year for someone ! Today we finally found our Hair person!
